Elizabeth Vincent
$2500 Winner

Elizabeth Vincent has worked for Sterling National Corporation for over a year now and has been carpooling from the City of Orange with her co-worker for the last two months. She really appreciates splitting the cost of gas with her carpool partner. Elizabeth recommends carpooling to others because, "you don't have to sit in traffic and you can use the carpool lanes so it really helps." She is excited about using her winnings to buy school clothes for the kids and take a trip to Vegas (for the adults). "It was my significant other's birthday last weekend and when we heard the news I had won, we had a really great weekend."

Stephanie Fincher
$2500
Renato Bacani
$2500

Stephanie Fincher has been with ICP International for more than two years, working as an Environmental Consultant. She commutes from Downey daily by taking Metrolink. Stephanie says that receiving a free 10-trip ticket from Spectrumotion was what started her on the train six months ago, and really enjoys not having to drive the freeways. "It's great to be able to check e-mails, read and relax during the train ride." She recommends riding the train to others because "you don't realize until you try it how nice it is not to drive. You don't lose any flexibility...especially with Spectrumotion's Emergency Ride Home Program." As for her winnings, Stephanie is a new mom and says that she will use some of it for a family road trip to Yosemite or the Sierras with husband and baby. Congrats Stephanie!

Renato Bacani has worked at Advanced Sterilization Products (part of Johnson & Johnson) for 16 years as a Technical Specialist in their manufacturing division.  He moved to Riverside in 2003. "One of the main reasons I bought the house in Riverside was because the Metrolink station is just a few miles from my house." Once he gave the train a try, Renato decided not to return to driving alone because, "a one hour commute on the 91 can become a two hour drived (with traffic). He enthusiastically recommends others try the train because, "it benefits everyone by being green and you can get out of traffic." At the end of our interview he shared that he'll use his winnings to buy more train passes to commute to his job..."this will pay for my monthly train pass for a whole year!"

Anisha Wilson
$2500 Winnter - Recruiter
Susie Shimon
ETC Winner - Motorcycle Industry Council

Anisha has worked for Taco Bell for nine years, assisting in the point of sale and data management for their restaurants. She is a new vanpooler as of July 1st, commuting from her home in Corona...and loves it! She likes that the fare is very reasonable, she can get to know other people that work in the area and she gets to sleep an additional 45 minutes in the morning. "I enjoy letting someone else do the driving, the price is great and it's good for the environment. I've been trying to really go green these days." Anisha will be putting her winnings in savings and maybe buying some new clothes.
Susie Shimon has worked as a HR Generalist at the Motorcycle Industry Council since 2000. The focus of the company is to promote safe motorcycle riding to the public through state and local education programs. Out of their current employee population, about 15% participate in some form of ridesharing. Susie herself is a carpooler and likes this form of alternative transportation as it's less wear and tear on her car, she spends less on fuel costs and she enjoyes visiting with her carpool partner during the ride to/from work. Susie encouraged her colleagues to participate in Spectrumotion's Spring Promotion by leaving flyers in each of the employee mailboxes.
